About me
Five years ago I embarked on a journey that I was meant to be on from an early age and decided to pursue my passion of drawing & painting.
I studied Children’s Book Illustration for a year at City Lit in London, followed by Putney School of Art & Design studying illustration and screen printing.
I grew up in North London and was creatively inspired by my Grandfather, an accomplished artist who gave me my first paint brush aged three. I loved to sit with him in his studio and watch as he worked.
I love colours. Bold colours. Experimenting with textures, paper and different materials. My illustration work is mostly mixed media; collages made with a combination of watercolour, colour pencils, pastels & photoshop. I also love using pen & ink.
I was shortlisted for the Carmelite Book Prize 2020 and have since gone on to write and illustrate a picture book which I hope to get published this year.
My prints are inspired by travel, nature, photography, the English coastline and annual trips to Tuscany where my family are from.
I screen print at Putney School of Art & Design and at my studio in West London, where I live with my husband, teenage twins and our two lovely black and white cats, Suki & Pip.
In 2022, I set up Manacatprints and have been selling my prints both in person and online.
I love meeting people along the way who share my passion for printing and the process.
